We bought a 16 foot metal utility trailer in October 2022.
William learned how to weld, starting by attaching jack stands to the frame to level the trailer.
Next, we planed the boards to use on the bottom of the trailer.
We placed the subflooring.
Next came the framing.
Hazel benefitted by getting all the cut pieces of wood thrown over the fence to her. She collected the pieces.
We finished the initial framing by the end of November, adding strapping to increase our resistance to shear force.
Then, we started on the insulation panels.
Next, we installed flashing and windows.
We insulated the bottom of the trailer and installed our grey water tanks.
This brought us to the end of December 2022. With a completed exterior, we started on the interior (covered in part II).
